Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who managed to move from the country genre to mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the pop culture. Swift also took on the entire globe during the course of her journey. Swift has thrown off her country roots like it were a second-skin and has proven herself to be one of the smartest pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She has the ability to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her own. This was evident from her first songs, especially in her neo pay homage towards Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008), Swift showcased a writer getting to understand her. The album was able to have significant appeal not just on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles on the strength of the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the world, with a particular success with the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift's next album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the first one, consolidated this success. It helped propel Swift into the spotlight. Swift's popularity grew through the three albums that followed - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in an industry she felt was hers to be. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach with 2020's pared-down siblings folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
