Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of skills, such as being able perform, direct, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her productions as a young girl and observing her mother at work. While still a small child, she was featured in commercials of various kinds. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, for the purpose of pursuing her acting. The decade which followed, she moved to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They got engaged in 2009, after they got married. Anna had just recently converted to Judaism and they got married in Fredericton. Bo and Lauren's relationship (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) is featured on CNN's all-time favorite television couple list.
